Seventy‑year‑old senior citizen Preeti Kumari, who lived alone, was murdered under suspicious circumstances. Her body was found on the bed inside the house, drenched in blood. It is reported that Preeti Kumari’s elder daughter reached Pant Nagar on Friday morning after dropping her own daughter at Sanskrit School, to meet her mother. Upon reaching the house, she saw that the main door was open.

The deceased’s son‑in‑law said that when the daughter entered the house, she found her mother in a gory state on the bed. The condition of the house leads to the suspicion that the perpetrators also looted the premises during the incident.
