Several sectors will receive direct connectivity.
Noida.
The full benefit of the Bhangel Elevated Road is now expected to reach people living in the surrounding areas. The Noida Authority has completed preparations to build four new loops for ascending and descending the elevated road. Construction of these loops is likely to begin in September 2026. Once the loops are built, people in many surrounding sectors may be relieved from taking long routes and getting stuck in traffic. It will also improve convenience for travel toward Surajpur and Dadri.
The Bhangel Elevated Road is about 4.5 kilometers long, and since its operation it has provided fast transit between different parts of Noida. However, because there were insufficient loops for ascending and descending, residents of surrounding sectors could not directly benefit from it. They had to cover additional distance to use the elevated road.
Four loops will now be constructed around the intersection of Sector‑49 and Sector‑107. The loops will be approximately 7.5 meters wide and about 500 meters long. The project is estimated to cost around ₹51.84 crore. The Noida Authority has selected a construction agency, and work will commence once the contract process is complete.
According to officials, the start of construction has been delayed due to the rainy season. Excavation and traffic diversion could cause inconvenience to people during the monsoon. Therefore, preparations are underway to begin work in the second fortnight of September. The construction is expected to take about two years and aims to be completed by August 2028.
Benefit to 150,000 to 200,000 people
A large population living around the elevated road is expected to benefit directly from these loops. According to reports, about 150,000 to 200,000 people reside in the vicinity. Once the loops are built, direct access to and from the elevated road from the sectors could reduce vehicle pressure on local roads.
Moreover, drivers coming from the Delhi side will be able to use the elevated road to descend toward Sector‑49. Likewise, people traveling to Surajpur and Dadri in Greater Noida via the loops will also enjoy better connectivity. This is expected to save both time and fuel.
The Noida Authority views this project as an important step toward creating a useful connectivity corridor for surrounding sectors, rather than using the elevated road merely as a main route.
