In the world, people, under the sway of hardship, die by ingesting poison, drowning in water, or hanging themselves — all these are accidental deaths and suicides.
At the end of life, when, in an emotional state of self‑wellbeing, one faces an incurable disease, famine, or any other cause of death, and deliberately relinquishes life, that is Samadhi.
In Jainism, where a festival is celebrated at birth, death (Sallakhanā) and Samadhi are also celebrated as a festival.
Death is a great benefactor.
Fearless life: one should not be afraid of death. Death is highly beneficent.
Immortality of the soul: after death, a new body is obtained. The soul does not die; death is merely a change of existence, a change of body.
