Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated on Monday in a program organized at Shri Brahm Nivas Ashram, Saptasarovar Road, Bhupatwala, on the occasion of the 51st Nirvan Day of Puja Yogya Satguru Lal Das Maharaj. The Chief Minister said that Puja Yogya Satguru Lal Das Maharaj, throughout his life, gave priority to spirituality and inspired people to serve society and walk the path of truth and devotion. He spread devotion to the masses. His words possessed extraordinary power and his vision held boundless compassion akin to Lord Buddha. The Satguru worked to unite society. He taught throughout his life that service is the greatest religion. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that being in the presence of saints and receiving the grace of the Satguru is a matter of good fortune. Our saintly community has always contributed enthusiastically to the protection of religion, culture, and the nation. Their guidance inspires society to advance on the path of dharma and culture. India’s great culture teaches us that, no matter how many hardships arise, we must continuously strive to build and develop a good society. The Chief Minister said that a golden era of revival of the eternal religious culture is underway in the country. Along with projects such as the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Corridor, and the Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain, special attention is being given to the development of religious sites in Uttarakhand. The reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham, damaged in the 2013 disaster, has been carried out under the guidance and inspiration of the Prime Minister. Under the Temple Mala Mission, various temples across the state are being rebuilt and beautified. The Chief Minister said that ropeway projects are underway for Kedarnath and Hemkunt Sahib. The ropeways will provide pilgrims with easier access to these remote pilgrimage sites despite difficult geographical conditions, making travel more comfortable for elderly pilgrims. In Haridwar, projects such as the Ganga Corridor, Rishikesh Corridor, Faith Path, and the development of the Sharada and Yamuna banks are also progressing. He said that it is essential to preserve the original character, sanctity, and cultural identity of Uttarakhand’s divine land. The government’s effort is to provide pilgrims arriving from across the country and the world with a clean, safe, and spiritual environment. Strict action is being taken against illegal construction and activities that affect the culture and social environment of the divine land. The Chief Minister said that a Hindu Studies Centre has been established in Dehradun, where study, research, and scholarship in the fields of religion, culture, and science and technology are being promoted.
