Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). The Nation Reconstruction Mission has taken a historic decision to assist families affected by the severe natural disaster that struck the Himalayan regions of India, Nepal, and Tibet. All religious, social, and commercial trust councils associated with the mission have postponed all their upcoming ceremonies, inaugurations, and celebrations with immediate effect. In addition, a massive “Combined Relief and Rehabilitation Fund” of ₹10,000 crore has been pledged for the rehabilitation of the affected areas.

The chief architect and principal administrative trustee of the Nation Reconstruction Mission, Dharmamurti Pandit Lakshman Balyogi, issued a press release from the Atal Bihari Sevagram in Lucknow, providing this information. He clarified that in this difficult situation, only one religion is supreme—“nation‑religion and human service.”

**Key points:**
- Celebrations postponed, focus on service: Seven major organisations, including the World Priests Host Trust Federation, the All‑India Sadhus‑Saints Society Council, and the Atal Bihari Sevagram Trust Council, have cancelled all their programmes.
- ₹10,000 crore relief fund: The mission’s service provider “Nature and Signature” aims to raise the funds through public‑private partnership (PPP), corporate social responsibility (CSR), cooperatives, and public collaboration.
- Transparent rehabilitation plan: The amount will be used for temporary shelters, food, clothing, medical aid, mental‑health counselling, livelihood support for the dependents of the deceased, and the reconstruction of homes for the displaced.
- Global and national appeal: The organisation calls on Indians at home, the diaspora, industrialists, youth, and global citizens to contribute “body, mind, and wealth” and to donate labour in response to the disaster.

“Human service is Madhav service. In this global crisis, our sole aim is to get the bereaved families of the Himalayan region back on their feet again.”

Dharmamurti Pandit Lakshman Balyogi (Chief Architect, Nation Reconstruction Mission)

A message has also been issued for Nepal and international media, seeking cooperation from the global community and embassies. For assistance and information, contact the organisation’s central office (Bant‑hara, Lucknow).
